
K. Douglas Pugar, DO
Neurologist
Dr. Pugar joined DCND in 2017. He has always liked the puzzle aspect of neurology and enjoys helping patients come up with solutions. Dr. Pugar has a genuine passion for medicine and teaching. He regularly offers lectures on a variety of neurological topics to medical students, residents, fellow physicians, and the community. He has written a summary article to update primary care physicians on new topics in the field of dementia, which was published in the national Primary Care Reports Journal. He is currently the director of the Grandview Hospital Neurology Residency Program, where he continues to take an active role in the education of future neurologists. Dr. Pugar is married with three children. Two at home and one in heaven. He enjoys playing guitar, snowboarding, golfing, and spending time with his family.
