Dr. Merryman recognized as “Health Care Hero”

Congratulations to our Dr. Sharon Merryman!

She is being recognized by the Dayton Business Journal as a Health Care Hero!

The DBJ honors those who have made an impact on health care through their concern for patients, their research and inventions, their management skills, their innovative programs for employees and their service to the poor and uninsured.

Dr. Merryman joined DCND in 2001. Her drive as a lifelong learner landed her in medicine and she’s spent her career helping patients with a variety of neurological issues but geriatric care and dementia have a special place in her practice. Dr. Merryman is married and has two children. When she isn’t working or taking care of her family, she enjoys chocolate, Graeter’s Ice Cream, and exercising. Dr. Merryman is also very community oriented. She is an integral part of the Christmas parties at local nursing home facilities and volunteers at the Ronald McDonald House.
